Rebate and incentive programs pay out what the data says, so a wrong field becomes a wrong payment.
Every rebate, loyalty, and channel-incentive program is a pipeline of eligibility files, claims, and payouts. When a field upstream is wrong, someone gets paid wrong downstream, and the program’s reporting inherits the same error, so the report can’t show it.
One of three lanes of the same practice. See all three.
What I do
- Audit manufacturer program data: eligibility and claim files, payout ledgers, accrual versus actual.
- Find leakage: duplicates, double-funding, payouts against stale terms.
- Reconcile what your program reports against what your finance team books.
- Build the program reporting a finance team can trust.
What I don’t do
I don’t process claims. I check them against the program’s rules. Your fulfillment partner runs fulfillment. I make sure the data feeding them is right, and the data coming back survives an audit.
Where this comes from
Seventeen years as Director of Operations at an incentive and rebate fulfillment company, where making the data right before it hits the payment systems is the entire job. This is the lane the other two grew out of.
The first case study is Payout Math: one program year of an invented HVAC manufacturer, every payout re-derived from the program’s own rules.
Data Health Snapshot: $950, seven business days.
Send a program ledger or claims export; get back your three most expensive data problems, in dollars, with a fix plan.
