The Practice
Data that moves money has to be right before it moves.
Lailara LLC practices data hygiene and process hygiene. Data hygiene is the state of your records: fields that mean what they say, systems that agree, transactions that reconcile. Process hygiene is what keeps them that way: the handoffs, routines, and checks that produce the data in the first place. Together they give you business intelligence you can trust.
The discipline is the same wherever operational data carries money. I work in three of them.
Three lanes
CPG retail & deduction data
Who it’s for. CEOs, CFOs, and COOs of specialty food and CPG brands doing $3M to $50M, scaling from regional to national retail.
What gets checked. Chargebacks, deductions, trade spend, and item data, traced back to the field that caused them.
Where to start. The deepest lane on this site: nine worked problems, live tools, and a free Deduction Scan. Pick your problem or start the free Deduction Scan.
Campaign & web analytics
Who it’s for. Marketing and growth leads at small and mid-sized brands who run paid campaigns but don’t trust their GA or campaign numbers.
What gets checked. Platform exports reconciled against your analytics and your order data, so one number survives.
Where to start. Campaign & web analytics, then the Snapshot or the written intake below.
Rebate & incentive payouts
Who it’s for. Operations and finance leads at manufacturers that run consumer rebate or channel incentive programs.
What gets checked. Eligibility and claim files, payout ledgers, and accrual versus actual. I don’t process claims. I check them against the program’s rules.
Where to start. Rebate & incentive payouts, then the Snapshot or the written intake below.
Where this comes from
Twenty-five years in operational data, most of it where a wrong number meant a wrong payment. Nineteen of those years have been at an incentive and rebate fulfillment company, the last seventeen as Director of Operations. The worked examples on this site are all CPG so far. The method is the same in all three.
Any lane can start here
The Data Health Snapshot and the written intake work for every lane. The Snapshot is a fixed $950 and takes seven business days: send one dataset and get back your three most expensive data problems, in dollars, with a fix plan. Or describe the problem in the written intake, and I’ll reply within one business day. No hourly billing.
Private, expiring upload — never email. Mutual NDA before anything moves. Files destroyed within 30 days of delivery, with a certificate. Methods published, tools open source.
